Nitrosol also called Natrosol is a very important agent in soap making. It is the thickening agent that allows the soap to look like soap”. It is usually in whitish powdered form. Its texture feels like that of Yam Flour ( Elubo). When it comes in contact wit water, it spreads in the air like face powder and disappears into thin air making it difficult for user to know that it is still present in the air. At the stage of Nitrosol or Natrosol in soap making, many don’t bother to cover their nose which is very dangerous. Nitrosol or Natrosol Can remain in the air for about 20 to 25 minutes and should not be inhaled directly to avoid cancer.
